Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Sniper)
Genre: Action platformer
Developer: Digital Eclipse
Publisher: Konami

Graphics
Some of the richest, most detailed 2d visuals ever seen in a video game. Not only that, but the variety of stages, some gigantic sprites, and some memorable enemies makes for a visual treat.

Sound
This game has one heck of a soundtrack-- fully digital, and with booming percussion, soaring orchestral elements, and raging electric guitar, only the dreadfully poor voice sets it back some.

Gameplay
It may seem derivative now, but that's only because it's spawned an endless stream of clones on the Gameboy Advance and DS. Explore a massive castle, fight cool bosses, and experience it all with a fulfilling and balanced control scheme.

Overall
There really isn't a whole lot wrong with SOTN, and this adaptation of it plays true to the original. If you like action platformers, especially those with vampires and light RPG aspects, this is the game for you.
